Paddy’s denim jeans have been the most popular item on the store shelves of the store since opening, and he’s proud to be able to help the company out with their ongoing legal battle with the Federal Government.
“When they get something wrong, I can’t take the responsibility.””
Paddy Dunahan says the company has done everything they can to protect their brand and their customers’ rights, and has done their utmost to make sure that Textiles is able to continue as a business.””
When they get something wrong, I can’t take the responsibility.”
Paddy Dunahan says the company has done everything they can to protect their brand and their customers’ rights, and has done their utmost to make sure that Textiles is able to continue as a business.
“We’ve done everything we can to keep it going and we are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that Textile Australia can keep going,” he said.
“It’s been a pleasure to be a part of this great organisation, and I hope that my actions help to make it a success.”
Painted jeans are one of the most commonly worn items on the shelves at Textiles, and Paddy says that he believes the company is in the right to protect customers’ intellectual property.
“They can say what they want about me but I know I’ve done my job,” he says.
“When I go in there and work on a pair of jeans I know that the company that’s making it is in good hands and that the quality of the product is great.”
And I don’t believe that they have infringed on my intellectual property or that I’m the only one that is.
“Paddys own company is one of a handful of clothing brands that have sued the Federal government over copyright infringement.
They allege that the Government has infringed their intellectual property by using its power under copyright laws to restrict access to their trademarked products.
It is understood that Textels aim to fight these cases and win, but Paddy believes that it will be difficult for the Federal Coalition to win against the clothing company.”
You’re talking about a government that is in bed with a small business and a small company with a big business,” he explains.”
The government wants to keep the door open for their own brand to keep going.
“Pads, jeans, and the textiles that make them are all made in Australia, and Mr Dunham believes that Australia is one country that has successfully kept its trademark laws on the books.”
Australia is the one place where you can actually make a mark and have a brand, and that’s the reason why the Australian brand is so popular.
“So if you look at all the countries around the world, they all have their own trademark laws and they’re all in good shape.”
If you look across all the other countries in the world where they’re using the same trademark laws, they’re not doing as well.
“Every country around the globe is doing the same thing, and they are doing fine.”
