Schuylers contract with Schuyles will be a “troubling one” for the club, but the midfielder’s agent has reportedly told ESPN that it won’t affect his future at the club.
Schuylin is due to earn a reported £9m over the next two seasons from the club and it’s believed that the player has already agreed to the terms of the contract.
The 28-year-old has been one of the most exciting midfielders to come out of the Netherlands in recent years, and the player is said to be one of their key priorities.
He’s scored 10 goals in 33 appearances so far this season, with six of those coming in the Premier League.
ESPN FC’s Simon Stone reported that the agent of Schuyle is currently negotiating the terms, and it seems that he’s expected to be on the outside looking in to a potential move to a bigger club in the future.
Schütz, who signed a new contract with Liverpool in 2014, made a name for himself at Liverpool by winning the Golden Boot at the start of the season and was named in the Football Writers’ Association’s Team of the Season.
He has also helped the Reds win two Champions League trophies and the Europa League.
