The star of ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ‘Saturday Countdown’ has had his fair share of celebrity come-ons.
His most recent, however, may be one of the strangest.
According to TMZ, Yankovich, 54, was the first person to sign a $100,000 deal with a text-to-cash-out service when he accepted a $10,000 check on his birthday last month.
The deal was made after Yankovs father, the late Jerry Yankowitz, passed away.
The company, Text-to-$1,000 Cash, has since changed its name to Text-on-cash, and now offers a $1,500 cashback bonus for every text sent.
The actor’s father died of pancreatic cancer in 2012, and the money was used to purchase a house in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance for his widow, Mary.
The actor, who is married to actress Ashley Judd, is not the only celebrity who’s used the cash.
In October 2016, singer Jennifer Lopez reportedly used the $1 million she received for her music contract to buy a new $150,000 house in Las Vegas.
In December 2017, rapper Jay-Z reportedly paid $10 million for a new home in New York.
